About the Author


Terri Whitmire


Terri Whitmire is an accomplished author, instructor, and writing consultant. She received a B.S. in Information Technology from the historic North Carolina A&T State University. In 1999, she earned a writing certification from the Institute of Children's Literature. Prior to writing her debut novel, Breathe for Me, in 2011, she wrote for a variety of industries including but not limited to: Fortune 500 corporations, educational organizations, and religious institutions. In 2010, her short story The Crooked Path was featured in the Trillium Literary Journal.  In 2012, she was recognized as one of the top 50 emerging authors. Her five faith-based books continue to keep her readers on the edge of their seats.

Mrs. Whitmire is the owner of Fun Creative Writing (FunCreativeWriting.com), where she offers her after-school enrichment program to several East Cobb elementary schools. Her lively and interactive classes offer a fun way to learn about the art of writing. She continues to work with children in various capacities including: teaching, mentoring, tutoring, children's ministry, school assemblies, and more. In 2013, she expanded her business to offer web content, manuscript critique, electronic newsletters, eBook formatting, sponsorship packages, proposals and many other professional writing services.

Terri also facilitates a mentoring group, Whit’s Writers, where over 50 writers seek her online advice. Terri and her husband, Will, have been married for twenty-two years. They have three magnificent children who continue to make them proud. In her spare time, Terri enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends
